Carpinteria Unified School District would like extend the warmest of welcome to Carpinteria Middle School’s newest member, Interim Principal, Lisa Venable O’Shea.

Mrs. O’Shea comes to us from Oxnard Union High School where she has served as an Assistant Principal to the freshman class for the past three years. Among her many talents and responsibilities as Assistant Principal, she oversaw Special Education, Math, was the ELPAC Coordinator and much, much more.

Prior to embarking on her path in Leadership, Mrs. O’Shea was a classroom instructor for 27 years, teaching both middle and high school mathematics in both Irvine and Temecula. She completed her undergraduate studies at Baylor University and continued with her graduate work at Stephen Austin University.

She is an administrator who strongly supports her staff and her students. She excels at student engagement strategies and is passionate about the students emotional intelligence, social justice and creating a positive school climate for all.

Mrs. O’Shea will be coming on board on August 1, 2018. We look forward to this exciting addition to the Carpinteria Unified Schools Family!
